How To Hang Blinds

Installing blinds is easier than most people would think. But, of course, it’s not as simple as it doesn’t need any instructions at all. You still have to be wary of some things that could be thorn in your side along the way. Make sure you follow the steps below and you will not have any problem with your blinds. There are some simple directions that will help a person install window blinds and have them look great after a good house cleaning done with a proper cleaner.

Measure the Window

Of course, proper measurements are needed to ensure that a person purchases the correct size of blinds. You don’t want to waste money on something that will be too big or too small for your window, after all. A measuring tap can be used to do so. Once the window is measured mounts can be installed to allow light to come through at the edges of the blinds. The measurements should start at the top of the window where the glass and the casing meet. A person should then go down the length of the window. Once the length is taken a person has to measure the width at the top, middle, and the bottom of the window.

Installation

Once a person gets the blinds that they want it is time to hang them. First of all, you need to install the rail needed to hold the blinds in place. Put the head rail inside of the window casing and be sure to keep it level. Use a pencil to make where it meets the window at each end. Open the bracket door and put them at the pencil marks. Be sure to mark where the hole of the bracket falls. Using a drill make a hole in the wall where the bracket is going to be placed. Once this is done screw the bracket into place.

Hanging the Blinds

Take the valence and clip it into place. It should then be inserted into the brackets. Be sure to clip it into place. Check the blinds and make sure that they open and close properly. If anything is done in a wrong manner, don’t worry – simply take them down and repeat the process until you get it right. It’s not that hard.

These simple steps can help a person hang blinds. They add a great look to any window and can be adjusted to let light in or to keep it out based on the time of the day. And after you are done, the house deserve a professional domestic cleaning so that you can see the full effect of the new blinds. If you are too lazy for the job, simply get a professional cleaner from your local cleaning company. And then enjoy your new blinds.
